Located on the busy intersection of Tillary Avenue and Flatbush Avenue the desire was to create a recreational rooftop landscape, which will add value to the apartment complex. The neighborhood has a high percentage of rental inventory and with receding real estate market developer wanted to create landscape that could be used as a marketing tool to attract client.
Landscape was viewed as a series of activity pads nestled within soft landscape connected by promenade. Promenade ended in a series of spaces used as viewing areas to enjoy Manhattan views. Mechanical equipment were tackled by creating enclosure which acted as 'folly's' within the landscape. One of these enclosures was turned into a wind tower, which will also be seen from street level and the Manhattan Bridge.
